Right now in my journey as an artist, I'm throwing a whole lot of pasta at the wall and seeing what sticks.
There are times when I feel more creative within confined limits. Early spring, I was inspired by graphic posters of the sun from the 70's and 80's -- very simple colors and very simple shapes, but still very pleasing to the eye -- something you would find in the lifeguard office, right next to all that feathered hair.
By giving myself a specific color palette and focusing on specific shapes, I decided to give it a try -- hey, I can create a 1970's-inspired poster too! But then the project began to take on a mind of its own, and I left that California lifeguard office and began to play with the strict colors, but also organic shapes and repetition. Below you'll see my first two series of abstracts.
Prints of all these are available starting at 4x6 in. and going all the way up to large poster size of 24x36.
